Elder Arnulfo Valenzuela
Elder Arnulfo Valenzuela was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 6, 2013. At the time of his call, he had been serving as a member of the Fourth Quorum of the Seventy in the Mexico Area. He is currently serving as a member of the Mexico Area Presidency, where he has served since 2013.
Elder Valenzuela received a bachelor’s degree in administration from the Universidad de Estudios Contables y Administrativos in Mexico City. In 1992 he received a master's degree in business administration from Instituto Panamericano de Alta Dirección de Empresa (IPADE). In 1981 he began working as manager of commercial accounts for Honeywell Mexico. In 1989 he became marketing director and vice president for Sweda de Mexico. In 2003 he was made regional director for Durman de Mexico and later national marketing director.
Elder Valenzuela has served in numerous Church callings, including full-time missionary in Veracruz, Mexico, bishop, counselor in a stake presidency, counselor in a mission presidency, and Area Seventy.
Arnulfo Valenzuela Realivasquez was born in Chihuahua, Mexico, in May 1959. He married Silvia Pilar Porras in April 1982. They are the parents of three children.
