Juan A. Uceda was sustained as a General Authority Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 3, 2010.

Professional Life

Elder Juan A. Uceda was named a member of the Presidency of the Seventy on April 1, 2017. He served previously as a counselor in the South America Northwest Area Presidency (2010–2013), President of the South America Northwest Area (2013–2016), Assistant Executive Director to the Missionary Department, Area Assistant to the North America Southeast Area, and President of the Central America Area (2017–2020). He also served with the North America Southwest Area and assisted Elder Neil L. Andersen in supervising the Philippines and Pacific Areas. He was serving as an Assistant Executive Director to the Temple Department when he was granted emeritus status effective August 1, 2023.

He worked in the Church Educational System as area director for Peru and Bolivia. He left Peru in 2003 to move to New Jersey to assist his father with their family business.
