Children, Youth, Adults Invited to BYU–Idaho’s Annual Education Week

Brigham Young University–Idaho will hold its annual Education Week this year from Thursday, August 2, through Saturday, August 4.
More than 60 teachers have been selected from among BYU–Idaho faculty, along with others from the local area and surrounding states. Teachers will address a variety of general and religious topics.
“We’re excited to invite everyone to campus for Education Week again this year,” said Brett Sampson, director of university public affairs. “We have so many great teachers and such a spectrum of topics and activities this year. Whether you come on your own, with friends, or with your family, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to be uplifted and strengthened.”
Children and youth have the opportunity to participate in Education Week through age-specific classes and activities. Talented youth facilitators provide great learning experiences and engaging activities for children and youth ages 6–11, 12–13, 14–15, and 16–17. The youth program has limited space, so register early. For those not able to register in the youth program, youth-focused classes will be available during each regular hour.
This year’s keynote and devotional speakers include author Dean Hughes, author and public speaker Al Fox Carraway, university resources vice president Jeff Morrin, and associate academic vice president Rob Eaton.
A Center Stage concert with Lexi Walker will be held Friday evening. The general public is welcome to attend the concert, but special ticket discounts are available to Education Week participants.
Early bird enrollment for Education Week is only $35 per individual and is available through July 28. Children 5 and under are free.
