“The Church has a treasure trove of resources for teaching children.” —Jan Pinborough, managing editor of the Friend
Teachers and parents can now download hundreds of videos for children at friend.ChurchofJesusChrist.org to show in the classroom or at home.
Videos available for download include the One in a Million videos about Primary children around the world, Scripture Stories, For Little Friends, Matt and Mandy, music videos, ASL Primary songs, and other videos for children.
“The Church has a treasure trove of resources for teaching children, but many times parents and teachers don’t know how to get them in a format that’s easy to use in lessons, family home evening, or Primary sharing time,” said Jan Pinborough, managing editor of the Friend magazine. “Now it’s much easier to do.”
Because Internet connection in meetinghouses is often unreliable, it’s always best to download a video ahead of time to whichever mobile device is available to you, such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet.
To find the downloadable videos, go to friend.ChurchofJesusChrist.org and click on Videos, which is listed under Friend on the left side of the screen. There are several categories of videos. You'll find the Download button underneath the bottom righthand corner of each video.
For detailed instructions on how to download and use videos, see the Showing Video in Meetinghouses website. It includes tutorials and instructions for downloading and showing Church media on various mobile devices, such as laptops, tablets or smartphones, and DVDs.
You can find additional videos organized under a variety of topics and titles at videos.ChurchofJesusChrist.org and on the Mormon Channel under Video. You can also download videos using the Gospel Library app.
