First Presidency Announces 2018 Temple Presidents for Australia, Philippines, Mexico, and U.S.

The following six new temple presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service later this year.

Cebu City Philippines Temple

Jose Trinidad Aguilar, 71, Cabuyao 1st Ward, Cabuyao Philippines Stake, called as president of the Cebu City Philippines Temple, succeeding President Cesar Abina Perez Jr. President Aguilar’s wife, Nenita Garcia Basallaje Aguilar, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Fe A. Perez. He is a mission presidency counselor and a former regional representative, stake president, and bishop. Owner of Heads Up Enterprise, he was born in Manila, Philippines, to Pedro Celestino Aguilar and Francisca Nario Trinidad.

Sister Aguilar is a former stake and ward Relief Society president, self-reliance facilitator, and ward choir director. She was born in San Nicolas Bacoor, Philippines, to Lazaro Calugdan Basallaje and Marcela Garcia Garcia.

Boston Massachusetts Temple

Lloyd S Baird, 72, Belmont 1st Ward, Cambridge Massachusetts Stake, called as president of the Boston Massachusetts Temple, succeeding President Steven C. Wheelwright. President Baird’s wife, Jana Andrews Baird, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Margaret S. Wheelwright. He is a sealer in the Boston Massachusetts Temple and a former stake president, bishop, and mission presidency counselor. A professor emeritus and visiting professor, he was born in Logan, Utah, to Bruce Lloyd and Mary Ruth Baird.

Sister Baird is a stake Relief Society president and temple ordinance worker and a former stake Young Women and Primary president and ward Relief Society president. She was born in Gainesville, Florida, to James Hoyt and Evelyn Estelle Andrews.

Colonia Juárez Chihuahua Mexico Temple

Juan de Díos Bonifacio Fajardo Loranca, 65, Casas Grandes Ward, Colonia Juárez Mexico Stake, called as president of the Colonia Juárez Chihuahua Mexico Temple, succeeding President Helamán Flores Cano. President Fajardo’s wife, Reyna Romero Gutiérrez de Fajardo, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Ma. Estela García Flores. He is a ward clerk and a former bishop and stake presidency counselor. Retired chemistry, physics, and mathematics teacher, he was born in México City, México, to Gregorio Fajardo Muñoz and Maria de los Dolores Loranca Carranco.

Sister Fajardo is a Sunday School teacher and a former ward Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary president. She was born in México City, México, to Gustavo Romero Torres and Guillermina de Romero Gutiérrez.

Billings Montana Temple

Randall Aagard Gormley, 64, Burlington 1st Ward, Cody Wyoming Stake, called as president of the Billings Montana Temple, succeeding President Kenneth D. Getz. President Gormley’s wife, Laurie Greenwood Gormley, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Dawn L. Getz. He is a ward Young Men president and a former stake president, bishop, senior missionary, and temple ordinance worker. A cattle rancher and farmer, he was born in Basin, Wyoming, to Richard Oliver and Faith Gormley.

Sister Gormley is a former ward Young Women and Primary president, senior missionary, temple ordinance worker, and seminary teacher. She was born in Murray, Utah, to Ray Parry and Pauline Greenwood Jr.

Houston Texas Temple

Daniel William Jones, 66, Glen Loch Ward, The Woodlands Texas Stake, called as president of the Houston Texas Temple, succeeding President Marshall W. Hayes. President Jones’s wife, Barbara Gay Reiter Jones, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Jill P. Hayes. He is an Area Seventy and a former stake president, bishop, and mission presidency counselor. Retired partner of Deloitte & Touche, Texas, he was born in Santa Monica, California, to Ralph Edward and Gwen Burgess Jones.

Sister Jones is a stake Primary presidency counselor and temple ordinance worker and a former ward Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Primary president, and Sunday School teacher. She was born in Salt Lake City to Frank Demke Reiter and Ada Barton.

Sydney Australia Temple

Richard Harvey Osmotherly, 67, Greenwich Ward, Sydney Australia Harbour Stake, called as president of the Sydney Australia Temple, succeeding President W. F. Lionel Walters. President Osmotherly’s wife, Anne-Marie Mauger Osmotherly, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Marianne Walters. He is a temple sealer and a former bishop and temple ordinance worker. Retired real estate manager for the LDS Church, he was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, to William George and Beverly Joan Osmotherly.

Sister Osmotherly is a Primary teacher and temple ordinance worker and a former stake and ward Young Women president and ward Relief Society president. She was born in Adelaide, South Australia, to Alan Harris and Vola Olive Mauger.
