Applications for summer 2020 (April 29 through August 12, 2020) will be accepted and processed from October 1 through November 30, 2019.
Young performing missionaries include singers, dancers, band musicians, and stage technicians who perform daily in various venues in Nauvoo and in the pageants. According to the FAQs, “only a limited number of missionaries can be called. Talent, training, and experience are very important. Other significant qualifications include character traits such as spiritual maturity, willingness to obey mission rules, and enthusiasm for serving.”
Young performing missionaries are selected by audition and then called and set apart as Church-service missionaries. As such, they are required to be temple worthy, and they commit to live by missionary standards and follow a rigorous schedule of rehearsals and performances.
