Mormon Tabernacle Choir Applications Online until July 31
Applications to join the Mormon Tabernacle Choir are available for download from mormontabernaclechoir.org until July 31. To be considered, applications must be completed and postmarked by August 15.
Applicants must also send a recorded audition, which will be reviewed by the choir’s directors. Instructions for recording the audition can be found on the choir’s Web site, along with details about a musical skills assessment, live audition, and other parts of the application process.
To be eligible, candidates must be between 25 and 55 years of age and live within 100 miles of Temple Square in Salt Lake City.
The 360-member choir keeps a busy schedule, with practices and concerts held an average of 150 days per year. Service in the choir becomes members’ principal Church calling.
