New Mission Presidents Called to Areas Including Peru, Mexico, and Marshall Islands

Eight new mission presidents and their wives have been called by the First Presidency. They will begin their service in July.

Illinois Chicago Mission

Evan Glen Bingham, 54, and Amy LeCheminant Bingham, seven children, Manti 1st Ward, Manti Utah Stake: Illinois Chicago Mission, succeeding President Paul S. Woodbury and Sister Katy Marie Woodbury. Brother Bingham serves in a stake presidency and is a former bishop, bishopric counselor, high councilor, stake Young Men president, and missionary in the Portugal Lisbon Mission. Institute teacher, Seminaries and Institutes. Born in Logan, Utah, to Albert Francis Bingham and Ruth Munns Bingham.

Sister Bingham serves as a ward Primary presidency counselor and is a former ward Relief Society and Primary president, Gospel Doctrine teacher, Primary music leader, and Young Women adviser. Born in Salt Lake City to Eli Stanford LeCheminant and Coralee Andersen LeCheminant.

Argentina Córdoba Mission

Pedro Francisco Correa Cardenas, 56, and Hilda Amandina Aravena de Correa, five children, Santiago Chile Quilicura Stake: Argentina Córdoba Mission, succeeding President Ruben V. Alliaud and Sister Fabiana Alliaud. Brother Correa is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, bishop, bishopric counselor, high councilor, and missionary in the Chile Osorno Mission. Finance manager, Corporation of the Presiding Bishop. Born in Santiago, Chile, to Pedro Guillermo Correa González and Rosa del Carmen Cárdenas de Correa.

Sister Correa serves as a seminary teacher and is a former ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society president, and stake seminary supervisor. Born in Santiago, Chile, to Arnaldo Esteban Aravena Hermosilla and Hilda Elena Monroy de Aravena.

Utah Salt Lake City East Mission

Brent Jason Hillier, 55, and Klaudette Kelsey Hillier, six children, Grandview Ward, Parker Colorado Stake: Utah Salt Lake City East Mission, succeeding President John C. Eberhardt and Sister Sandra Eberhardt. Brother Hillier serves as an Area Seventy and is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, high councilor, bishop, ward Young Men president, and missionary in the Michigan Lansing Mission. President, Benefit Health Advisor. Born in Salt Lake City to Robert Brown Hillier and Belva Virginia Hobson Hillier.

Sister Hillier serves as a seminary teacher and is a former ward Primary president, ward Relief Society and Young Women presidency counselor, ward missionary, and Gospel Doctrine teacher. Born in Salt Lake City to Edward Bernard Kelsey Jr. and Joan Marie Davis Kelsey.

Marshall Islands Majuro Mission

John Francis Larkin, 62, and Robyn Lee Boyle Larkin, six children, Narre Warren Ward, Melbourne Australia Narre Warren Stake: Marshall Islands Majuro Mission, succeeding President Thomas L. Weir and Sister Sheilah H. Weir. Brother Larkin is a former stake president, stake presidency counselor, stake mission president, bishop, stake Young Men president, Scoutmaster, and mission preparation adviser. Retired business development director. Born in Melbourne, Australia, to Herbert Larkin and Valarie Larkin.

Sister Larkin is a former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Relief Society president, Relief Society compassionate service leader, seminary teacher, Gospel Doctrine teacher, and ward family history consultant. Born in Sydney, Australia, to John Boyle and Yvonne Boyle.

México Ciudad Obregón Mission

Shaun Scott Myers, 56, and Elsa Maria Christina Lonn Myers, six children, Malan’s Peak Ward, Ogden Utah Stake: México Ciudad Obregón Mission, succeeding President Mauricio Munive Lara and Sister Emma Chico de Munive. Brother Myers is a former stake president, bishop, high councilor, ward Young Men president, and missionary in the México Monterrey Mission. Funeral director and owner, Myers Mortuary. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Richard Elmer Myers and Gloria Ann Jorgensen Myers.

Sister Myers serves as a Gospel Doctrine teacher and is a former stake Relief Society presidency counselor, ward Young Women president, ward Relief Society presidency counselor, and missionary in the Ecuador Guayaquil Mission. Born in Ljungby, Sweden, to Sven-Göran Anders Lönn and Ida Elsa Katarina Petersson Lönn.

México Ciudad Juárez Mission

John Randall Owen, 57, and Suzette Booker Owen, five children, Alpine 9th Ward, Alpine Utah Stake: México Ciudad Juárez Mission, succeeding President Rodolfo Derbez and Sister Luisa Rico de Derbez. Brother Owen serves as a Scout leader and temple ordinance worker and is a former stake presidency counselor, high councilor, bishopric counselor, ward Young Men president, and missionary in the Argentina Rosario Mission. President, ThermoWorks, Inc. Born in Salt Lake City to John Cox Owen and Helen Rae Palmer Owen.

Sister Owen is a former ward Relief Society president, ward Relief Society and Primary presidency counselor, Primary teacher, and Young Women adviser. Born in Redwood City, California, to Robert Edward Booker and Sharon Lee Binggeli Booker.

Perú Huancayo Mission

Edgar Rolando Silva Julian, 45, and Ana Elvira Moran de Silva, five children, Angamos Ward, Piura Peru Miraflores Stake: Perú Huancayo Mission, succeeding President David Y. Henderson and Sister Paula J. Henderson. Brother Silva is a former mission presidency counselor, bishop, high councilor, stake Young Men president, and missionary in the Perú Lima North Mission. Facilities manager, Corporation of the Presiding Bishop. Born in Chachapoyas, Perú, to Ladislao Silva Ramos and Maria Amelia Silva Julian.

Sister Silva serves as a ward Primary presidency counselor and is a former ward Primary president, ward Young Women president, and seminary teacher. Born in Piura, Perú, to Dagoberto Moran Cordova and Julia Elvira Briceño de Moran.

México Querétaro Mission

Steven Milton Williamson, 59, and Kerma Louise Kunzler Williamson, five children, Pleasant View 4th Ward, Pleasant View Utah Stake: México Querétaro Mission, succeeding President Javier Mejorada and Sister Claudia Martínez de Mejorada. Brother Williamson serves as a Sunday School teacher and is a former bishop, bishopric counselor, high councilor, elders quorum president, and missionary in the Argentina Cordoba Mission. Co-owner of Transwest Auto. Born in Baytown, Texas, to Paul Bain Williamson and Virginia Caryl Bennett Williamson.

Sister Williamson serves as a ward music chairman and is a former ward Young Women and Primary president, Primary teacher, Young Women adviser, and Relief Society meeting committee member. Born in Tremonton, Utah, to Max Wilson Kunzler and Phyllis Udy Kunzler.
