New Temple Presidents and Matrons Called to Serve Beginning October 2020

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has called the following new temple presidents and matrons. Most will begin serving in October of 2020. The Aokis and the Robertses will begin their service when the renovated Tokyo Japan and Hamilton New Zealand temples are rededicated. The Lopezes will begin serving when the Yigo Guam Temple is dedicated. The Casablancas will begin serving when the San Juan Puerto Rico Temple is dedicated. The Oliveiras will begin their service when the new Praia Cape Verde Temple is dedicated.
Adelaide Australia Temple
David Guy Crosley, 66, Firle Ward, Adelaide Australia Firle Stake, called as president of the Adelaide Australia Temple, succeeding President Robin F. Hill. President Crosley’s wife, Susan Jan Bennallack Crosley, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Lorelei A. Hill. He is an Adelaide Australia Temple presidency counselor and a former stake presidency counselor, bishop, and high councilor. A retired civil engineer, he was born in Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England, to Philip Guy Crosley and Cynthia Turner.
Sister Crosley is an assistant to the matron of the Adelaide Australia Temple and a former ward Relief Society and Young Women president and ward Primary presidency counselor. She was born in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, to Frank John Bennallack and Leonie Schenck.
Apia Samoa Temple
Meliula Meafou Fata, 70, Mountain View Ward, Auckland New Zealand Manukau Stake, called as president of the Apia Samoa Temple, succeeding President Beaver T. Ho Ching. President Fata’s wife, Ponaivao Liua Fata, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Judy Ann Ho Ching. He is a temple ordinance worker and a former Area Seventy, Papua New Guinea Port Moresby Mission president, stake president, and bishop. A retired country welfare manager for the Church, he was born in Afega, Upolu, Samoa, to Meafou Fata and Fa‘auiga Nofoaoefia Kirisome.
Sister Fata is a temple ordinance worker and a former mission president companion, ward Relief Society counselor, and ward Primary president. She was born in Moataa, Upolu, Samoa, to Liua Pati Punimata and Siuatoilevao Fulu.
Bogotá Colombia Temple
Roberto Oscar Pitarch, 69, Colón Ward, Buenos Aires Argentina Monte Grande Stake, called as president of the Bogotá Colombia Temple, succeeding President José L. González Gutiérrez. President Pitarch’s wife, María Cristina López Pitarch will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Monica del Carmen Buitrago de González. He is a YSA area coordinator and temple ordinance worker and former Argentina MTC president, Colombia Medellin Mission president, stake president, and bishop. A chairman and commercial adviser for a business, he was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Francisco Oscar Pitarch and Irene Amores.
Sister Pitarch is a YSA area coordinator and temple ordinance worker and former Argentina MTC president companion, mission president companion, stake and ward Relief Society president, ward Young Women president, and ward Primary presidency counselor. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Antonio López and Consuelo Blanco.

Sister Weidmann is a seminary teacher and Primary pianist and former mission president companion, ward Primary president, branch Young Women president, and temple ordinance worker. She was born in Riverside, California, to Wilhelm Friedrich and Helene Kaufmann Lauener.
Bismarck North Dakota Temple
Joel Kim Ransom, 65, Fargo Second Ward, Fargo North Dakota Stake, called as president of the Bismarck North Dakota Temple, succeeding President Leo S. Schrubb. President Ransom’s wife, Patricia Renee Elgaaen Ransom, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Lyn M. Schrubb. An agronomist, he was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Wendell Bybee and Beth Kirby Ransom.
Sister Ransom is a multistake temple and family history consultant and temple ordinance worker and a former stake, district, and branch Relief Society president and seminary teacher. She was born in Blackfoot, Idaho, to Floyd Allen and Margaret Jane Goettsche Elgaaen.
Caracas Venezuela Temple
Luis Eugenio Verguez Rodríguez, 65, El Remanzo Ward, Guacára Venezuela Stake, called as president of the Caracas Venezuela Temple, succeeding President José I. Rivero Sequera. President Verguez’s wife, Norys Violeta Silva Flores de Verguez, will serve as temple matron, succeeding Sister Alida C. Moreno de Rivero. Praia Cape Verde Temple
Roberto Florencio Oliveira, 63, Cedar Breaks Ward, Bennion Utah East Stake, called as president of the new Praia Cape Verde Temple. President Oliveira’s wife, Eliana Oliveira Castro, will serve as temple matron. He is a former Cape Verde Praia Mission president, stake presidency counselor, and branch president. A solar systems business owner, he was born in Passos, Brazil, to Benedito Florencio and Lucinda Dias de Oliveira.
Sister Oliveira is a ward missionary and a former mission president companion, stake Primary president, and ward Relief Society and Primary president. She was born in São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil, to Saul Messias de Oliveira and Elvira Martins de Castro Oliveira.
