Flowers bloom across from the Conference Center in Salt Lake City April 4 during the opening session of general conference.
President Thomas S. Monson presided at the Saturday afternoon session of the 185th Annual General Conference. President Henry B. Eyring, First Counselor in the First Presidency, conducted the session. Church members sustained five new General Authorities, four new auxiliary leaders, and 53 new Area Seventies. Elder David A. Bednar, Elder D. Todd Christofferson, and Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles spoke, as well as Elders Wilford W. Andersen, Dale G. Renlund, and Michael T. Ringwood of the Seventy.
