God’s Love
God is our loving Father in Heaven, and He loves all His children perfectly, including you. He loved us before we ever loved Him, and evidence of His love for you is everywhere.
You are a child of God
You are the “offspring of God” (Acts 17:29). He is the Father of your spirit. He wants to have a relationship with you. As a child of God, your potential is infinite.
God knows you
God knows you personally. Jesus taught that God the Father watches over all of His creations—a sparrow can’t fall to the ground without the Father knowing it (see Matthew 10:29). As for you, “the very hairs of [your] head are all numbered. Fear not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows” (Matthew 10:30–31).
God loves you
God wants to help His children be happy. He has blessed us with so much. He loves you, watches out for you, and wants you to communicate with Him through prayer. Jesus has promised, “Your Father which is in heaven [will] give good things to them that ask Him” (Matthew 7:11).
How God Shows His Love
Explore ways that God can show His love for you in your life.
Feeling God’s Love
Seek Peace
In a chaotic world, something as subtle and sacred as God’s love can be hard to recognize. God’s love is easier to find when we create moments to seek it out.
Pray
God is our loving Father in Heaven who loves His children and wants to hear from us. We can pray to ask for help in our lives, and we can pray to feel His love. If you ask God to feel His love for you, and you are patient for the response, it will come.
Show love to others
The Bible teaches us that as we live in peace with each other, we can feel God’s love for us. As we love and serve others, we will feel the love we are seeking from God.
Learning about His love
We can learn about God’s love by studying His word. As we read the Bible and the Book of Mormon, we learn that throughout history, God has never stopped loving His people. This can help us recognize God’s love in our own lives.
