Family Prayer

Early in the morning

Our family kneels to pray.

We ask the Lord to help us

Throughout the coming day.

I think of all the prophets

Who knelt when they were young

And asked the Lord for blessings

With simple, faithful tongue.

And families like Lehi’s,

Who had faith and traveled far,

Prayed for God’s direction

And were heard, just as we are.

My family prays together

For blessings great and small

Because our Savior listens

And answers when we call.
