OK, it may seem like this video was made mostly for busy moms. But there are a couple reasons we wanted to share it with you.
First of all, did you notice how they talked about the importance of balancing mental, physical, social, and intellectual health? That’s something you’re learning in the Children and Youth program! The healthy patterns you are developing now will bless you throughout your life.
Also, the need for self-care and compassion certainly applies to you! Chances are you have responsibilities at home, school, church—and maybe even a job on top of that! In the middle of it all, are you remembering to prioritize what matters most? Like taking care of your health and your relationship with God?
It’s OK to cut down on extra activities if you need to. If you feel overwhelmed, talk to a trusted teacher, parent, leader, or school counselor. Lots of people care about you and want you to be happy!
Healthful Habits
Pro Tip: It may feel counterintuitive, but sometimes looking outward and helping others is the best thing you can do to feel better inwardly.
