You could read some as a family!
Have you received your patriarchal blessing yet? It’s like a spiritual roadmap for our lives, offering guidance and perspective.
If any of your deceased direct ancestors received a patriarchal blessing, you can request a copy of it! Here’s how:
- Log on to ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
- In the “My Links” row, click on the “Patriarchal Blessings” icon.
- That should bring up a page that has a link to “Family Blessings,” where you can select which blessings to request.
Heads up, it takes a while to get the copies. Maybe you could request a few at once and then read them as a family when they arrive. Talk about the lives of the people who received these blessings. What promised blessings seemed to be fulfilled in that person’s life? What else sticks out to you? What words do you find especially comforting?
Just think—someday after this life you will meet that person! What questions would you ask them if they were here today?
