Heavenly Father, earthly father.

18 Jun 2023 | 1 min read
Men on Earth have the opportunity to become fathers and experience some of the same joys that our Heavenly Father feels for us. Fatherhood is a divine responsibility to be cherished.
Both help us learn and grow.

A lot of words and titles describe God. But as Church leaders have pointed out, “It is significant that of all the titles of respect and honor and admiration that are given to Deity, He has asked us to address Him as Father.”1

Our Heavenly Father is a perfect example for our earthly fathers: loving, merciful, kind, and supportive. We hope that your earthly father tries to follow that example.

But whether or not your father does—or whether or not he is even part of your life—remember that there are other “fathers” in your Church family who are eager to help you grow and be happy.

Some countries celebrate Father’s Day this weekend! Maybe it would be a great time to have a heartfelt conversation with your Heavenly Father, who is always there for you when you need Him. He loves you so, so much!

Looking Forward

What kind of grown-up do you hope to be for the future children in your life? It’s never too early to start working on becoming the person you hope to be someday!
