The Savior is our ultimate good example. In this series, we get to know Him one attribute at a time.
Diligence is steady, consistent, earnest, and energetic effort. God expects us to work diligently.1
When we are diligent, we:
- Find joy and satisfaction in doing God’s work.
- Act without having to be told what to do all the time.
- Focus on the most important things.
- Don’t give up when things get hard. (The Savior’s prayer in Gethsemane is the ultimate example of this.)
- Pray for guidance and strength.
Think about it: This mortal life might be the only chance we have to show God that we are willing to sacrifice our limited time to help with His work. So let’s do our diligent best!
