The Savior is our ultimate good example. In this series, we get to know Him one attribute at a time.
Virtue is a wholesome pattern of thought and behavior.
Here’s a way to self-evaluate your virtue: what do you choose to think and do when you are alone?
Virtuous people:
- Focus on righteous, uplifting thoughts.
- Put unworthy thoughts out of their minds.
- Obey God’s commandments.
- Follow the counsel of Church leaders.
- Pray for the strength to resist temptation, as the Savior did in Matthew 4.
- Quickly repent of sins.
- Hold a temple recommend as precious.
When you are virtuous, you are more able to understand the Spirit and resist temptation.
Virtue is possible for anyone. Choose today to make it one of your defining characteristics!
