Purpose
We all come in different shapes and sizes. And each one of us is created in the image of God. Rather than comparing ourselves to others or telling ourselves that we aren’t good enough, we can find joy as we learn to see ourselves as God sees us.
Goal Ideas
We can appreciate the blessing of having a physical body.
- Try to express gratitude each day for a feature of your body that you may not always think about. For example, how different would communication be without the muscles that let you smile? And taste buds are amazing, the way they differentiate between different flavors, but how often do you actually think about them?
- Show confidence and respect for your body and spirit by practicing positive self-talk. For example, instead of putting yourself down, you can give yourself a compliment. How do you feel when you think and say positive things about yourself?
- Learn about how your body works by studying topics like exercise, sleep, nutrition, or something else that interests you.
- Set a goal to increase your skill in a physical activity that you enjoy, such as sports, crafts, or playing music.
