Have you ever gone on a treasure hunt before? One of the first things you’d probably want to know is who gave you the map in the first place. Are they really leading you to treasure, or are they just messing with you?
When it comes to spiritual matters, this understanding is especially important. Think of the devil as a sort of sadistic bully who hands you a fake treasure map and then sits back and laughs as he watches you run in circles and get hurt along the way.
The Savior, on the other hand, offers us the real deal. And He doesn’t just hand you a map—He offers to walk with you! That’s what the covenant path is: the opportunity to walk with the Savior to reach the treasure of eternal life.
Who will you choose to trust today? The sadistic bully or your loving Savior?
