Here’s one young woman’s experience.
Last month we read the story of how Saul saw the Savior in a vision, right?
Well—spoiler alert—most of us won’t have that experience here on earth. But each of us can still hear the voice of the Lord! Usually He speaks to us through the Spirit, who is His messenger.
In the video above, for example, a girl named Alejandra describes the thoughts and feelings that helped her know the gospel was true.
So … how does the Lord speak to you? Here are some scriptures and other articles about it. Perhaps this would be a good thing to think about and study as we continue to learn Moses’s story.
- Galatians 5:22–23 (fruits of the Spirit)
- Moroni 7:13–16 (that which is good is of God)
- Doctrine and Covenants 8:2–3 (the Holy Ghost speaks to your mind and heart)
- Doctrine and Covenants 11:13 (the Spirit enlightens your mind, fills your soul with joy)
- Doctrine and Covenants 88:11, 66 (light quickeneth your understanding; the Spirit is truth)
- Elder and Sister Bednar answered this question in a Face to Face event.
- A story of two sisters who prayed about the same thing but felt answers from the Spirit in different ways.
- You don’t have to be crying to be feeling the Spirit.
- Sister Vicki F. Matsumori once gave a conference talk about recognizing the Spirit.
