Members of the First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve give perspective on eternal marriage and talk about the importance of their companion.
Just ask these couples!

Awwww … isn’t it fun to see the wedding pictures of these Church leaders? Their stories can give us hope that—despite what the world says—love can last a lifetime. And longer!

Eternal relationships require a lot of faith, forgiveness, selflessness, and cooperation. Now, life isn’t perfect. Abuse, divorce, and loneliness may be part of our mortal experiences.

So if marriage is difficult for you to think about right now, that’s OK. Just tuck this truth into your heart and keep moving forward. The Savior will help everything work out for the faithful in the end!

Love Story

Ask a couple you respect to tell you about how they met. What do they like about being married? What has been challenging? What do they hope for the future?

Vowing to remember that we -on earth- are only newlyweds because of our Temple marriage, having a special "kissy" step for a hug and kiss before and after when he returns every work day, wishing each other "Happy Wednesday" every Wednesday and sometimes "Happy Day Before Wednesday or "Happy Day After Wednesday", walking while we hold pinkies often, remembering our 'monthaversary', and then kicking through maple leaves and throwing paper airplanes on our special half anniversary, make for a more celestial marriage. I'm not perfect and we do not always agree, but as for me and my house we choose to work it out rather than quit when challenges come- and challenges do come.

Thank you very much for this opportunity to ask that a link be added for single adults who are in the tools app verified as temple recommend holders and active and serving to be able to chat together on this on line platform, so we too can have opportunity to start on this beautiful required path. Out in the world we are not able to get going. Thank you for all the work you do. Tina. Durban South AFrica Stake

This is the way marriage should be, a man and a woman growing closer together instead further apart as in my case. God bless for the inspiration and that marriage can be beautiful but it takes both partners to make it and keep it that way.
