Here’s Ratih’s testimony of general conference!

General conference is right around the corner!

It’s a wonderful chance for us to hear our prophet and other Church leaders share messages with us.

To get ready, we’ll be sharing tips and experiences from youth this week about how to make the most out of this spiritual feast.

First is Ratih—a young woman from Indonesia who helped make next year’s youth theme video!

“For me, prayer is a must to prepare for general conference,” Ratih said. “I like to pray beforehand, asking Heavenly Father to help me receive the answer I need for all of my questions, and to have my heart and mind open to the talks.”

Ratih said she usually watches general conference at church with her family and other members of her ward. If a message particularly touches her, she rewatches it again alone in her room and talks about it with her family. She makes sure to pray and thank God for the answers she received.

“To remember the talks, I usually write down quotes that stand out to me. Sometimes, I draw small symbols representing the point of the message to help me visualize the talk later on,” Ratih said.

Sometimes she even plays a guessing game—like trying to guess the next speaker or what song the choir will sing.

“These talks are messages from prophets and apostles that are God’s representatives who are speaking directly to us,” she said. “So, these messages must be important!”

Thanks so much for sharing, Ratih. Stay tuned for more conference tips tomorrow!
