Put my shoulder … where?

A Father and Sons Choir from stakes in Cache County sing, "Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel."
To the wheel! Here’s what that means.

OK, imagine an old-fashioned pioneer wagon. You know, the kind with the huge wooden wheels. When those wheels got stuck in rocks or mud, it would take a lot of people working together to get it rolling forward.

The song “Put Your Shoulder to the Wheel” (Hymns, no. 252) is an invitation for each of us to help out. If we all do our part, the load is lighter and things run more smoothly.

So what are some ways you can help today? Whether you have a calling or not, you are an important member of your class or quorum. And your family members and friends always need you! You could:

  • Help set up an activity.
  • Say something nice to a sibling.
  • Offer to share a devotional in seminary.

You get the idea. Brush off that shoulder, and let’s all get to work!

Relax and Listen

Take a few minutes to listen to this hymn and invite the Spirit. You are loved!
