Ready, set... share!

You can learn a lot in just 60 seconds.

Here’s a rapid-sharing activity that would be fun to try with your family or class.

Start by grabbing a timer. Everyone gets exactly one minute to tell what they did today. How much can you share? Start with waking up and see how far you get!

Now it’s time for a twist. Ask those older than you (adult leaders or parents) to spend one minute sharing what a typical day was when they were your age. For example:

  • What did they eat?
  • Did they go to school?
  • What did they enjoy doing in their free time?

Maybe you could even pick something from what they usually did and give it a try! All of this would be awesome to add to a journal or FamilySearch.org. This will be fascinating to future generations!

A day of memories

Spend a day during your parent’s childhood and yours. Have your parents take you to do what they used to do after school or on the weekends. Then have them spend a day doing what you like to do. Add pictures and your experience to your family book to show how the times have changed.
