How do people see you?
When it came to Ruth, people had good things to say! They had seen her:
- Care for her mother-in-law.
- Dutifully complete hard work.
- Act with kindness.
Because of this good reputation, people trusted and respected Ruth—including Boaz, who ended up marrying her.
Think about your own reputation. What do others see you do? What do they hear you say? What kind of reputation do you want to have?
Maybe you want people to know you as outgoing and friendly, or faithful and good, or kind and caring. We’re not saying that you should try to be noticed for personal gain or worldly recognition (see Matthew 6:16–18). But as you align your actions with your heart, your reputation will come to reflect more of who you truly are.
