Singing and dancing are just two types of talents.

What unique gifts are you sharing with the world?

One of the parables the Savior shared was called “The Parable of the Talents.” He taught that it’s better to use our talents and let them grow than to hide them (see Matthew 25:14–30). He was speaking about money but he could have also been speaking about the gifts and abilities we have been given and how it is better to use our talents and let them grow than to hide them.

Check out how one young woman, Charlotte, uses her talents!

“My parents say when I was three years old, I kept my sister up at night by singing before falling asleep. I feel so alive when there is music playing and have enjoyed singing solos in sacrament meetings and at baptisms.

“I also love dancing because it helps feel connected with the world around me, fills me with gratitude for my physical body, and motivates me to take care of myself and live healthy.”

Thanks for sharing your experience, Charlotte! Check out a similar musical testimony from a young man named Jyle here.

Your Talents

What talents are you working to develop? It could be anything—baking, SCUBA diving, drawing, you name it!

Email pictures of you using your talents to us at FTSOY@ChurchOfJesusChrist.org and tell us all about it!

PS—Speaking of music, wasn’t there great music at general conference last month? You can watch conference musical numbers again by visiting this page. Enjoy!
