Is there someone in your quorum or class or family who feels apart from the group? Someone adrift and off on their own? Consider linking up with others to reach out together to that individual. We can do so much more when we do it together. Alma’s people drew strength from each other as they mourned with those that mourned and comforted those that needed comforting (see Mosiah 18:9). That allowed their hearts to be “knit together in unity and love” (see Mosiah 18:21).
But unity doesn’t just happen. “It takes effort and time to really counsel together—to listen to one another, understand others’ viewpoints, and share experiences,” said Sister Jean B. Bingham, Relief Society General President.1
It might seem like there’s a lot keeping us apart, but you can connect and build unity. It just takes some creativity and mutual effort.1. Jean B. Bingham, “United in Accomplishing God’s Work,” April 2020 general conference.
