What did the prophet say in conference?

Here’s a refresher.

Our scripture reading this week mentions ancient prophets like Moses (see 3 Nephi 20:23).

Isn’t it amazing that we have prophets on earth today? Our current prophet is President Russell M. Nelson, who recently turned 100 years old!

Here are some important things he said at October’s general conference.

  • The Lord has commanded us to build temples around the world, so we are!
  • These temples help us gather Israel on both sides of the veil.
  • Temples also help us prepare the world for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.

“Every sincere seeker of Jesus Christ will find Him in the temple, feel His mercy, find answers to their most vexing questions, and better comprehend the joy of His gospel,” President Nelson promised.

And here’s something the prophet invited us to do specifically: Spend time each week learning about the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

“Those who make and keep covenants to follow Jesus Christ will find that painful moments of life are temporary,” he said. “Today, I call upon you to rededicate your lives to Jesus Christ.”

As our prophet testified, the best is yet to come!
