What do seeds and puzzles have in common?

Puzzle Pieces in a Bucket
Both can teach us about testimonies!

Lots of objects can help us understand more about testimonies. For example, a testimony is like…

A seed. You have to nourish a seed to help it grow. How can you nourish your testimony?

A Hand with Seed

Oil in a lamp. The Savior shared a parable about this (see Matthew 25). It doesn’t matter if your friends have a testimony—you need to have your own!

A pet. If you don’t “feed” your testimony with spiritual experiences, it will grow weak and sickly.

Dog

A house. A wise person would build on a solid stone foundation, you know. A foolish person might build on sand. Sound familiar?

A puzzle. There’s no single right way to put a puzzle together. We each learn about parts of the gospel in different ways, too. Don’t throw away a piece just because you can’t see how it fits right now.

Puzzle Pieces in a Bucket

A bucket. It fills up gradually, drop by drop. Sometimes you don’t even realize how much you have collected—especially if you focus on what you are lacking instead of on what’s already there.

Teach about Testimonies

Use this post to teach a lesson to your class or family. Give them each one of the objects above and go around the room talking about how each relates to our testimonies.
