One of the amazing truths God revealed in modern days is that there’s not just a heaven and hell. There are three degrees of glory where we can live eternally!
Here’s what we know about the holiest of those places, called the celestial kingdom:
- It has the greatest glory, likened to the brightness of the sun. (See 1 Corinthians 15:41.)
- It’s where our heavenly parents and Jesus Christ live in “a state of never-ending happiness” (Mosiah 2:41) and a “fulness of joy” (3 Nephi 28:10).
- Those who live there kept their covenants and are “made perfect through Jesus” (see Doctrine and Covenants 76:59, 69).
- The same kinds of relationships we have here will exist there, “coupled with eternal glory” (Doctrine and Covenants 130:2).
- The earth will one day receive a celestial glory, too! What exactly does that mean? We’ll find out someday. (See Doctrine and Covenants 88:17–20.)
