What’s your friend’s favorite animal?

Try giving them one!

Okay, okay, don’t give them a living animal. That could get messy. And potentially dangerous. And possibly illegal.

Try this idea instead. And let us know how it went!

An Animal of Many Colors

Materials:

  • Paper
  • Pencil or pen
  • Scissors

Instructions:

  1. Who needs a nice note? Pick a person and then find out what their favorite animal is.

  • Draw the outline of that animal on a paper.

  • Cut out the inside of the shape, so the animal is missing from the paper. It’s easier if you poke a hole in the middle to begin cutting.

  • Write a nice note on the edges of the paper for your friend.
    • What’s Your Friend’s Favorite Animal
  • Time to share! Show your friend that if they hold the paper up in different places, it changes the color and pattern of their animal!
