Aleksandr A. Drachyov

Elder Aleksandr A. Drachyov was named an Area Seventy and a member of the Third Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 1, 2017. He is currently serving as Second Counselor in the Eurasian Area Presidency.

Since joining the Church in 1998, Elder Drachyov has served in a number of Church callings, including counselor in a branch presidency, district president, counselor in a mission presidency, and branch president.

Elder Drachyov received a master’s degree in management and administration from South Ural State University. He has worked for the Church as a coordinator for Seminaries and Institutes since 2003 and as area director of Seminaries and Institutes since 2020.

Aleksandr Aleksandrovich Drachyov was born in Kamensk-Uralskiy, Sverdlovskaya oblast, Russia, on September 11, 1976. He married Julia Borisovna Smolina in 1996. They are the parents of six children.
