A gravel path that leads to a cemetery.
In June 1828, Joseph and Emma buried their first child, a son who died the day he was born, in this cemetery. His grave marker, now encased in a protective stone, can still be found in the northeast corner of the cemetery. Isaac and Elizabeth Hale, their daughter Phoebe Hale Root, and three of their grandchildren—including the son of Joseph and Emma Smith—are buried nearby.

The cemetery is named for the McKune family, who once owned the land. It is open to the public for visitation.
