Pioneer Memorial and Exodus to Greatness

The Exodus to Greatness monument is a bronze statue, dedicated to the memory of Latter-day Saints who left Nauvoo and settled in present-day Utah. Names of those who died along the trail are included in the Pioneer Memorial plaque located in the rotunda nearby.

The Pioneer Memorial and Exodus to Greatness are additional Pioneer Trail experiences. The Pioneer Memorial and Exodus to Greatness are self-directed experiences. Afterward, you are welcome to explore the rest of Nauvoo.

  • There is parking available north of the Pioneer Memorial on Parley Street.
    • There is no designated accessible parking. However, the size of this parking lot will be able to accommodate visitors’ vehicles with accessibility needs if the lot is not full.
