Just outside the Priesthood Restoration Site Visitors Center you will see sculptures by Avard Fairbanks depicting the restoration of the Aaronic and Melchizedek Priesthoods. Continuing past these sculptures you will find a walking path to the Priesthood Restoration historic area.

These sculptures are copies of the original sculptures that once stood on Temple Square. The copies were made by Peter Fillerup who was Avard Fairbanks’ last student. Peter and Avard worked on these sculptures together, until Avard’s death. Peter then completed the sculptures himself.


What to Expect


The Priesthood Restoration Statues are a self-guided experience adjacent to the Visitors’ Center.
