Roland J. Bäck

Elder Roland J. Bäck was named an Area Seventy and a member of the Seventh Quorum of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at the April 2022 general conference. He is currently serving in the Middle East/Africa North Area Presidency.

He has served in a number of Church callings, including full-time missionary in the Greece Athens Mission, bishop, high councilor, and stake president.

Elder Bäck studied Urban Technologies at FH Joanneum and received a master of science degree in 2004 and a degree in Energy and Transport Management in 2015. In 2016 he earned a master of business degree in energy management from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Roland Josef Bäck was born in Graz, Austria, on November 4, 1976. He married Tereza Nemec in 2000. They are the parents of five children.
