Webb Blacksmith Shop

Historic Nauvoo

Introduction

The Pioneer Trail tour continues at the Webb Blacksmith Shop. Here the Webb brothers made and repaired household tools, farm equipment, and shoes for horses and oxen. The shop was also a place where wagon parts were made. In the fall of 1845, efforts to help fellow Latter-day Saints build wagons to leave Nauvoo became the primary business for the Webb brothers.
