Nine young single adults from across the nation joined others from around the world to do service in a remote area in Guatemala called the Polochic Valley. There they served the Mayan Q’eqchi people. Service activities included helping build a secondary school, teaching business classes, helping with medical and dental needs, participating in a water project, and translating for the local people. The participants in the interview talk about their experience and how it affected them and the people of the Polochic Valley.
