“This isn’t a story about cancer, it’s a story about coming to know our Savior.” In this episode, Sister Amy Wright, the new second counselor in the Primary general presidency, teaches how we can rely on the sanctifying, healing and enabling power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ to endure our own individual journeys. She shares her experience battling stage 4 ovarian cancer and how she found joy through service in a time of overwhelming pain and fear. “When I focused on myself, when my thoughts turned inward, the world became a very dark place. But when they turned outward, not only was there light, but even in the midst of the greatest suffering, I was able to experience joy.” Sister Wright also shares the lessons she learned serving on the Young Women Advisory Council, and how she has felt the Lord’s love for her and her family through her calling to the Primary.
