The people of Ammon made a covenant to not shed blood, so their sons, who did not make the covenant, agree to join Helaman to fight and defend their people. Through their faith in their mother’s teaching of the Lord, they are all protected and live.

Helaman’s Stripling Soldiers Fight for Freedom

A message to Moroni of warfare and the covenant of certain Lamanites to not shed blood against their brethren. War’s affliction inspires 2,000 sons to fight instead, and risk laying down their life.

The Sons of Helaman Enter into a Covenant

Helaman marches with the army of 2,000 worthy sons. They are cheered in Judea. The army of Antipus fought valiantly but suffered and are depressed. The Lamanite armies see Judea’s new strength.  

The Sons of Helaman Strengthen the Army of Anitpus

The Sons of Helaman are not desirous to attack Lamanite strongholds but train for invasion. Fathers bring provisions. The Lamanites are fearful, uneasy and pursue the 2000 sons of Helaman in a march.

The Sons of Helaman Go Forward in Faith

The Sons of Helaman flee the Lamanite pursuit to overtake them in the wilderness. They reason what their mother’s taught them and that God is with them. They fight, do not fear and all are delivered.
