Blessed Art Thou Among Women

She has a white head scarf loosley covering her brown hair, she is not wearing shoes. She has one hand near her face and the other on the ground supporting her. She is seated on a series of floor mats, one straw the other colorful fabric. Behind her is a wicker basket with a lid and handles, also a large ceramic pot. In front of ther are a shallow bowl, a small narrow necked pitcher and a wooden spoon. Above her is an angel, his feet not touching the ground. He is bathed in a yellow light that make it difficult to see his features. He wears a long tunic robe, with a sash at the waist. He has one hand palm above Mary's head. The other hand is drawn close to his mouth, the index figure extended. He has a downward gaze. Lower right corner has " Walter Rame 03". Reverse side reads, " Walter Rane Blessart Thou Among Women.... Sept. 03", in blue ink.
