[MUSIC PLAYING] Health is a way of life. You have to choose to be healthy. You can't just be healthy for a day and just eat right and exercise for one day. It's something you have to do continually. Every day you have to be in that attitude of watching what you're doing and making sure that you're making wise decisions that are going to help your body and help you to feel healthy and strong and active. Being healthy is more than just eating right. We also need to be exercising and be getting enough sleep, and just regularly participating in activities to keep our bodies strong and keep them healthy. In the great plan of salvation, a big part of it is us coming here so that we can obtain bodies. The way I look at it is that God sent me here to get a body. And He gave me this body, so I need to take care of it and do the best that I can to keep it in the best possible shape. With Young Women's, we do a lot of service for families with new babies and stuff. We'll cook meals for them. Or we do yard work. It's really good to be in a state where my body is healthy and it's able to perform to its best and I can do my best completing that service and really serve these people. Spiritually, if you are doing things that harm your body, like taking in alcohol or drugs, they can really mess with your sense of feeling and mess with the way your body works, and you can become numb to the Spirit to where you won't be able to feel the Spirit and recognize that it is the Holy Ghost, that is the Spirit of God. I think that by keeping the Word of Wisdom, it helps others around me to see that I'm happy with the way I'm living and I feel healthy and I feel good. And they want to feel that way too. [MUSIC PLAYING] The marvel of our physical bodies is often overlooked. Your body, whatever its natural gifts, is a magnificent creation of God. It is a tabernacle of flesh, a temple for your spirit. It's also amazing to think of the scripture that says, "Ye are a temple, and know ye not that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?" It is necessary for us to live the Word of Wisdom so we can be healthy, play sports in our life, and live precious lives, and to keep our bodes pure. I'm glad to say, and I'm proud to say, I've never had a drop of liquor, alcohol of any kind. I've never smoked. I've never done anything. And it really helps your life. [SPEAKING GERMAN] With school friends, you'd say, "Oh, yeah, I'm not sure, I'm not really that sure." But when you say no, and that's a definite answer, you're not going to do it, then it puts you in the right mind to say no for the rest of your life, really. [MUSIC PLAYING] I find sometimes if I'm ever feeling less confident or something like that, that I'll remember that my Heavenly Father gave me this body, and I have to learn to love it and learn to realize that it's a gift to me. [SPEAKING PORTUGUESE] [SPEAKING SPANISH] [MUSIC PLAYING] [SPEAKING FARSI] [MUSIC PLAYING] "All saints who remember to keep and do these sayings shall receive health in their navel and marrow to their bones, and shall find wisdom and great treasures of knowledge, even hidden treasures; and shall run and not be weary, and shall walk and not faint." D&C 89:18-20. [MUSIC PLAYING]
