I used to like going out and partying. A lot. So that's what I used to live for--to go out with my friends on a weekend, go out to the bars and do silly things. I thought I was happy, but now I know better. I wasn't really properly happy, and I was making quite a lot of wrong decisions within my life. And I knew there was more. I knew that I needed to do more. I knew that I could become more as well. And I didn't know how to achieve that or anything, but like I said, the missionaries come to my home, and these were the things I was thinking about before they actually knocked on my door. So when they came, and then, like I said, the more I listened to them, I knew that my life could change by doing what they were asking me to do. The more I learned about the plan that my Father in Heaven had for me, the greater my need to change was. And it didn't matter how I used to be; it was what I needed to become so that I could receive my blessings from Him and receive all the wonderful things that He had there planned for me. And knowing those things makes-- not makes you, but helps you to change because you know that you're going to be a better person for it. I mean, He's not asking you to change your life because He wants you to be miserable. He needs you to change things about yourself so you can be given so much more, so that you're open to the Spirit, so that you can have the Spirit with you always, so you've got the guidance. And so I knew that I needed to change to receive all these things.
