My name is Jackson. I'm from Utah. When I was a little boy, two of my favorite things to do were saying the alphabet and drawing dragons. So I was very excited when I was old enough to finally go to school. I had lots of friends, and I loved to play. But pretty soon it was hard for me to learn in class, and I couldn't finish my assignments. I started falling behind in my schoolwork, so my mom decided I should see a doctor. He told me I had something called amblyopia in one eye and I could go blind one day. To help it heal, I had to wear a patch over my good eye to make my bad eye stronger. On the way home from the doctor, we stopped at a crosswalk. Just then a blind man crossed the street. It made me realize how blessed I was that I could still see with my good eye, and one day I would be able to see with both eyes. When I got home from the doctor's office, I was tired, so I decided to rest and watch cartoons. The cartoon character couldn't see very well either and was having a hard time in school just like me. The cartoon made me laugh, but then I thought Heavenly Father sent me two messages that day telling me everything would be all right and that He loved me. Now my eye is much better. I really like school, and I can learn about all of my favorite subjects like geology and music. I also love to be with my family, and I'm pretty good at skateboarding and playing the guitar, too. I know Heavenly Father loves me. I'm Jackson, and I'm one in a million. [MUSIC PLAYING]
