[SINGING IN FOREIGN LANGUAGE] About 147 people from New Caledonia came to the temple. We had families, widows, youth, like, 37 young women and young men. We also had single adults and future missionaries going on a mission who came here to make their covenants. --to be that we don't have temple in New Caledonia. So in order to attend the temple and to do the temple work, each year the New Caledonians come to New Zealand to attend the temple with a full year of work before, of preparation, of saving money to be able to pay the trip and to do the work for our ancestors here. And that's what we're here for. For most of the families, they are very humble families. And the parents need to work all year long to save the money to pay the trip for the plane, but also the air condition. And over here we have some sisters that have come here with very little finances. They really wanted to make it to the temple, and so they've made just enough to pay for the trip. It really touches me to see that a lot of the sisters are like that. Back in New Caledonia, they're really trying to make the effort, the personal effort, to make it to the temple. In preparing for this trip, it was many different ways. Obviously, financially, as a big family, we have to make a lot of sacrifices in things that we do and things during the year. But everyone was willing to make that sacrifice, and we're happy that we're able to be here. Also, another thing we try to do to prepare is to help to teach our children in our beliefs, teach them about Christ and to pray, so that they can understand why it's so important for us to attend the temple. Coming at the temple is like spending some time with Heavenly Father and Jesus. So obviously it has a big impact on our life. Because we've done this work with our family, for ancestors, this will even strengthen the link between our family, our close family, and our ancestors. We got sealed here in the New Zealand temple 10 years ago. And since then, we kept coming here to the New Zealand temple every year. Every year when we plan to go on holidays, we always ask them, "Where do you want to go for our vacation?" And they're all like, "Oh, we'd really like to go to the temple, to New Zealand." And I was like, "Do you want to go somewhere else? Do you want to go to Australia to go to the--to play in the playground? There are so many things to do over there." And they're like, "No, we'd like to go there," and that's it. We've been immersed in this very overwhelming spirit of love and close feelings and overwhelming feeling with the Holy Spirit in the temple. We cannot just go ahead without thinking of the experience we had, the very spiritual experience we had, the feeling we had, the really pure and strong love of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father that we felt in the temple.
