Light and truth come from God.

The adversary works in darkness.

The light of truth cannot be heard.

It was so from the beginning. Out of the blessings of the holy priesthood. Adam walked and talked with God. He taught these truths to his children, but their minds were darkened by unbelief. They rejected the words of their father, and the light was taken from them. God loves His children in every age. He reveals the truth through His servants the prophets.

But the majority of men refused to hear. They loved darkness more than light.

Prophets are called to bear witness. They have felt the light of God rest upon them.

They have heard His voice.

They have seen His face. [INAUDIBLE]. Surely the Lord God will do nothing but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. [MUSIC PLAYING] The light of this world Himself came down. Come unto me all ye that labor. But the darkness knew him not. He was despised of men. They hardened their hearts, rejected His servants, and again, the light was lost. A long night of apostasy followed.

Of this time, Amos prophesied that they shall seek the word of the Lord and shall not find it.

Still, some attempted to rekindle the light.

But darkness raged in the hearts of men, and the enemy of truth prevailed. [MUSIC PLAYING] To believe that God answers prayers is to believe that He does not govern, but He is governed by the prayers of men. Revelation does not occur. The world awaited a new dawn. A light would break forth among those sitting in darkness. It would be the fulness of the gospel. [MUSIC PLAYING] [FOOTSTEPS] [BIRDS CHIRPING] [OMINOUS MUSIC PLAYING] I was seized upon by some power which entirely overcame me. [OMINOUS MUSIC PLAYING] Just at this moment of great alarm, I saw a pillar of light.

It no sooner appeared than I found myself delivered from the enemy which held me bound. [INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLAYING] Light and truth come from God.

Surely the Lord God will do nothing but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets.

Look to that light, and darkness will flee before it. [INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC PLAYING]
