If you've not read the Book of Mormon, read it.

I will not ask for a show of hands.

If you do so prayerfully and with a sincere desire to know the truth, the Holy Ghost will manifest its truth to you. Try reading the Book of Mormon because you want to, not because you have to. We realize that one of the remarkable contributions of the Book of Mormon is its seamless, perfectly consistent view of divinity. The Book of Mormon makes the solemn declaration that Jesus is the Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Throughout that majestic book, here there is no Malachi to Matthew gap, no pause while we shift theological gears, no misreading the God, who is urgently, lovingly, faithfully at work on every page of that record, from its Old Testament beginning to its New Testament end. Through his prophet Moroni, "Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye will remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men. And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that you would ask God the Eternal Father in the name of Christ if these things are not true. And if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it under you by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the Holy Ghost, ye may know the truth of all things." If it is true, and it is, and Joseph Smith was prophet who saw God the Father and his son Jesus Christ, the Church is true. If you do not already have a testimony of these things, do that which is necessary to obtain one. Sincerely ask God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ with real intent that the teachings of the Book of Mormon are true. Ask for the desire to receive a confirmation personally, nothing doubting. Each individual who carefully studies the Book of Mormon can also receive a testimony of its divinity. I know that you can receive a spiritual confirmation that it is true. It is essential for you to have your own testimony. He who help the blind to see and the lame to walk can also bless you. He has promised that those who live by the precepts of this book shall receive a crown of eternal life. The Book of Mormon is true. I so testify in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
