It was a spiritual experience to be reminded of the sacrifices that the founders of this nation, the sacrifices that they made, because they went beyond themselves, their own personal needs, to try to establish a greater good. And in the same way, our religion is also something that goes beyond ourselves. We unite with others in a greater cause. From our side of it, it was fun to have these people sitting right in the middle of their respective sections, based upon their vocal range, and then to have them sing the song "Down by the River," which they had been able to download from the website and practice. They'd been given some music, I understand. They sang with some exuberance, and it was just a fun experience for everybody. The seats were all sold out and the lawn area was packed. I don't think you could have put any more people there. We're set apart, of course, as music missionaries. And though we do some first contacting, since I've been in the last 12 years, the primary focus is on conveying the Spirit through our musical presentation. We do have opportunities to meet with people as we're touring. Well, I think I would be amiss if I didn't say that probably most of us, if not all of us, feel this way, but being called to come back here this time, we believe that this is an inspired decision not only by the choir leadership, but by President Monson, who is our advisor, that he wanted us back here to accomplish things, not all of which we are able to sense as we're doing this. But I firmly believe the Lord's angels are with us and guiding us individually as we meet with people, but also as we come together to provide the musical experience for those that are attending each of the conferences. I count it as a great blessing personally to be able to be a part of this group and to become one with them as we strive to accomplish the Lord's will here on the East Coast in 2011.
