Amidst the storms of life danger lurks. And men, like boats, find themselves stranded and facing destruction. Who will man the lifeboats leaving behind the comforts of home and family and go to the rescue? President John Taylor cautioned us, "if you do not magnify your callings, God will hold you responsible for those whom you might have saved had you done your duty." Brethren, our task is not insurmountable. We're on the Lord's errand. And therefore, we are entitled to the Lord's help. But we must try. From the stage play Shenandoah, comes the spoken line which inspires. "If we don't try, then we don't do. And if we don't do, then why are we here?" When the Master ministered among men he called fisherman at Galilee to leave their nets and follow him declaring I will make you fishers of men. And so He did. Tonight, he issues a call to each of us to come join the ranks. He provides our battle plan with his admonition where for now let every man learn his duty and to act in the office in which he is appointed in all diligence.
