The message that we're trying to convey is one of the Savior's story, but we thought that the New Testament would be a good common place to start.

This project has been swimming around in my brain for about two and a half years.

It has lived in a computer, and it has been a virtual experience. But now, seeing earth excavated and seeing walls being built and stone being applied and turning it into a physical environment has been very, very exciting and fulfilling for me.

We want to get it as close to reality as we possibly can. As we've built this, it's been interesting to see some of the challenges and some of the miracles. Unfortunately here in Goshen, and particularly on this site, we don't have rocks.

And one way that we create this stone is to shape Styrofoam blocks by hand, one by one, and glue them onto plywood walls and apply layers of stucco over the top and artfully shape it so that you get the impression that it is stone. With all of the rainstorms that we've enjoyed, it seems like there has been a dome over Goshen, and all the rain has gone to the west and to the east and allowed us to keep going. We just need it to look right as it goes through the camera's lens.

It's got everything that we need, nearly everything. Lacking is a big Sea of Galilee, but we'll use Utah Lake for portions of that.
